Due to the heavy rains this year in California, honey bee season  has been delayed, but is getting ready to explode, with many swarms , soon to be reported.

When honey bees swarm, the old queen leaves the original hive with 40-50% of the bees in the hive escorting her, to look for a new home.

Anyone who has witnessed this miraculous, but often alarming event of a bee swarm, can attest, that it is quite a sight to behold.  These bees are homeless so are usually very docile unless disturbed.
